Families with young children will immediately appreciate the natural kids playground right beside the outdoor seating. With features like a flying fox and plenty of space for energetic little ones to roam freely, the atmosphere effortlessly caters to both parents and kids—offering a genuine respite where everyone feels at home. One happy visitor shared how their youngest child, rarely sitting still, found plenty to discover and enjoy just steps from the café’s inviting tables.

When it comes to food and drink, Mokoan Hub delivers with an appealing menu that strikes a balance between tasty comfort and thoughtful freshness. Customers rave about freshly baked scones, perfectly crafted fritters, and the wide choice of alternative milks to complement their coffee—an essential for many modern palates. The coffee itself, while described as “alright” by one visitor, is frequently praised for its quality, with the almond latte standing out as a favorite takeaway option. And if you hit upon the rare treat of the lumberjack cake, don’t hesitate; it’s a delicious local secret not to be missed.

The café’s ambiance is further enriched by the presence of neighborhood cockatoos, which add a charming natural soundtrack and deepen the sense of connection to the serene surrounds. Guests have also enjoyed indulging in homemade pecan pie and lemon tart, helping make dessert or afternoon tea a delight. While some have noted the lunch menu pricing can lean towards the higher side, the generous portions, quality ingredients, and stunning lakeside views certainly justify the experience.

Mokoan Hub & Café also shines as a tourist information center, staffed by knowledgeable locals ready to share insights about the surrounding wetlands, walking and cycling trails, and conservation efforts. This dedication to environmental stewardship resonates profoundly with visitors, many of whom appreciate that their patronage supports local conservation initiatives. The presence of a small gift shop featuring local artisan products adds an extra layer of community connection and charm.

Quick last minute decision to stop here for lunch after previously visiting here for a family birthday. Staff were very polite and quick to take our order. We had our two young boys with us, 2 and 4, and our youngest doesn't sit still for long. Great place for those types of high energy kids, plenty to explore and places to play. Food was also delicious and even made me a free takeaway coffee after hubby made the mistake of telling the waitress that I was done with my meal (I was outside with our restless 2yr old). Will definitely visit again, the place is just beautiful and peaceful even with other people around.

Lovely view, peacan pie and lemon tart were tasty. Good for cake and coffee, but lunch menu was very pricey.

The cafe was lovely. The scone was fresh, the fritters were great, the coffee was alright and there were a good selection of alternative milks. The staff were friendly and the toilets were extremely clean and well kept. The person at the information desk was a wealth of knowledge and quite happy to spend time talking us through what we could do in the area. Would highly recommend the observation deck for star gazing however take strong mozzie repellent with you or a mosquito net tent.

Lovely quaint cafe, with proceeds going back to conserving the area. I got takeaway almond latte here and enjoyed the little gift shop and information desk within the cafe. It has a natural kids playground near the outdoor seating area, a flying fox and lovely sculptures/art work nearby. We visited as a stop over but definitely worth spending a few hours walking/cycling through the wetlands and spot more birds. There's toilets within the cafe or one outside with picnic tables where we had our picnic.

We popped in for late lunch and the kitchen had just closed, so we settled for ham and cheese croissants which were absolutely delicious! Coffee was very nice too and the staff were amazing. Definitely worth going for a wander around the sculpture garden!
